Reading the Bible Day 52

Hello friends! Today is the FINAL day of the book of Numbers! The first 5 books of the Bible aren't an easy read, but I consider them to be so crucial for Christians to read to understand the culture, laws, and regulations that Jesus grew up with for both the ways he changed culture but also those avenues that he still respected and retained in his ministry. What are some of the things you have seen so far? Tomorrow we begin Deuteronomy, the final book of the Torah. It's another law book so get ready for lots of those sections. It's the final book of Moses before he passes on the mantle to Joshua son of Nun who will be a crucial character moving forward. Let me know your thoughts on what's sticking out to you! :)

Questions to Consider

  1. What does this teach me about God?

  2. What does this teach me about humanity?

  3. What about the Psalm speaks to me? What is difficult?

  4. What did I learn from the book of Numbers? Pause and give God thanks for that.

Prayer:

God, on this day fill me with your faith. Faith that is hopeful, faith that is brave, faith that is comforting, faith that is active. Help me, God, to be a beacon of faith and hope to all around me today. May words, my actions, and my presence be the balm in Gilead you cried for. In these things I pray to you, amen and amen.
