Welcome to Deuteronomy! Our scripture today is GREAT if you've struggled to keep up with Numbers. Basically all today is a boiled down version of Numbers as Moses recounts the events of their wilderness travels to how they have gotten to the point they are at the time of his writing. I encourage you to take special note of the time gaps between all of these major milestones in the faith. For us in the middle of this pandemic it can seem like forever or that God has abandoned us, but in some cases it just takes time for God to respond. It took almost 37 years to travel from Egypt to the promised land. Do you feel like the Israelites here? How can this reading inspire your faith? OOOOO Prreaachchhhhhh nicky preach! ;)
No, no. Shut up Pasta G. Just get them to scripture :)
Welcome to Deut...I hope you feel God's presence today <3
Scripture to Read
Questions to Consider
What does this teach me about God?
What does this teach me about humanity?
What does this teach me about the relationship between the two?
What do I hope to achieve from my reading of Deuteronomy?
Today's prayer is a little unique :) I would encourage you to write an autobiography of you faith at some point in the day. Similar to how Moses recapped his time as the leader of Israel. How did you come to know God? How have you struggled? What keeps you steadfast? Who have been the people in your life to do that for you? Write all of it down in how many or little words as you need. Sign it with a begin amen knowing that God's not done with you yet! <3 See you tomorrow!
