Hiiiii friends and welcome back to our study of Luke. Today features the classic story of Jesus calling/rebuking the waves which feels quite timely as the time of this writing I'm sitting on my porch at home while a storm rumbles and looms overhead. This section of text also features some wonderful stories of Jesus including more healings and battles with demons. (It's occurring to me that demons only existed in the new testament and not the old. Thats neat and leaves so many questions.) Yesterday I mentioned that the word apostle means to be sent out and that exact thing will happen for our faithful 12 today. There's lots of good stuff here and I'm excited for how it will speak to you. If you're willing I'd love for you to share what interests you.

Questions to Consider
What does this reveal to me about Jesus?
What story stood out to me? Why do I think that is the case?
No commentary today but I do have for you the 3rd part in our Lukan series from the Bible Project. Enjoy!
Praying the Hymns
So yesterday we listened to the Lord's prayer in the original latin gregorian chant (I can't stop listening to chants of the mystics now after that!) Today we will pray the Lord's Prayer again, but in a West Indian Folk style. While you will prefer one style over the other I hope you are finding the presence of God in all music of praise.
