Reading the Bible Day 233

Good morning friends! Today is a story of redemption in some ways. It's a long examination of King Hezekiah and how he helps to restore Judah to God's favor and Psalm 77 is a great review of the OT and how God moved through the people up until David. It's neat to see how these two readings speak to each other because Hezekiah has the people sing psalms of David, and the Psalm speaks about how good David is. (Debatable, but here we are.) I'm excited to also share that we are only 3 days away from completing the OT and starting the Jesus story with a fresh new lens. 3 days!! Let's get reading.

Questions to Consider

  1. Hezekiah slipped up by becoming proud but was able to repent for that. Why do I think pride is a sin in God's eye? Do I struggle with processing that?

Praying the Hymns

We have another foreign hymn today called "En el Frio Inverval" which translates to "Cold December Flies Away." I tried to find a version in the original language but was unable to unfortunately. So I've included a piano version that has the lyrics on screen for you to recite along.
