Hello everyone and happy Monday! Sorry for falling behind on getting these posted for you. I had the videos recorded but just couldn't find the time to write up these blogs in between meetings, preparing for Sunday and writing a message. I appreciate your grace on this! We continue the current trend of reviewing the royal leadership both queen and king about evaluate whether or not they were considered good and why that is. This might seem irrelevant but it's all building up to the gospels where Jesus, as Messiah, is understood to be prince of peace, lord of lords, and king of kings. It's a clever contrast that helps us appreciate Jesus more and helps us be more like him and less like the bad rulers.

Questions to Consider
What makes a royal leader "good" or "bad"? Why do some get second chances and others not?
What do I think makes a good leader?
Praying the Hymns
Our prayer for today is inspired by hymn 232 - When Christmas Morn is Dawning. (Hope you aren't getting sick of Christmas hymns yet cause we still have like 30 days of those haha)
Lyrics:
When Christmas morn is dawning I wish that I could be
there by your manger cradle, God's son, newborn to see
There by the manger cradle, God's son, newborn to see.
How kind of you our Savior for us to come to earth.
O may we not by sinning despise your lowly birth.
O may we not by sinning despise your lowly birth
We need you, O Lord Jesus, to be our dearest friend
Your love will guard and guide us and keep us to life's end.
Your love will guard and guide us and keep us to life's end.
